I'm currently raiding as a 10/48/3 fire-spec mage. With the addition of the Iceblock being trainable soon and the fact that the new frost talent is excellent for fire, why am I still thinking about changing over to frost?
For those of you reading this that already know me, I get bored of doing the same thing over and over very easily. The fun in raiding as fire is already starting to disappear, and I'm thinking of changing over to a new frost build. I just don't know what kind of damage difference there is going to be in my actual output.
I'm going to spend the day looking at the Elitist Jerks forum trying to find some more exacting proof of what kind of drop I'm looking at. If it's anything close to fire at all even up to like 5%, then I'll seriously consider the switch.
The final thing to worry about is switching my tailoring and making the frozen shadowweave gear. I'd be concerned about the cost of the materials, but I'm already running out of things to spend money on. I gave away 2500 gold for Christmas and I still have about 2300 despite already having epic flying on a couple of my level 70's.
So I guess I'll just have to see if there is some way to justify making this switch. I'll also get back to you in a few weeks when I get bored of frost and roll another alt to 70 just for fun.
